CATEGORY: Direct Provision

LEGISLATIVE AUTHORITY: M.C.L. 333.5101-5133 and 333.9201-9229; 1978 PA 368, Parts 51 and 92.

DESCRIPTION: Free vaccines are provided through state and local health department programs and immunization is promoted for all citizens, particularly children. Ongoing assessment of immunization levels among children is carried out through schools, day care centers and in migrant education programs and through the development of a statewide registry of children's vaccinations.
