DESCRIPTION: The state maintains vital records including births, marriages, deaths and divorces occurring in Michigan and health related data and information. It collects, analyzes and distributes information about cancer, birth defects, Agent Orange and other diseases and conditions. It also tracks information about nurses, physicians, hospitals, long-term care providers and magnetic resonance imaging.
