LEGISLATIVE AUTHORITY: Social Security Act Title XIX (Medicaid) Section 1915 and Department of Community Health Appropriations Act

DESCRIPTION: Federal Medicaid legislation allows states to provide services to individuals who may otherwise require institutional care. Children up to age 18 with developmental disabilities and who live with their birth or legally adoptive parents are eligible regardless of parental income.
