 MEDICAID SCHOOL-BASED SERVICES

DESCRIPTION: Language, speech, hearing, nursing, counseling, physical and occupational therapy, and health screening services are provided to Medicaid eligible students in school settings.

ALLOCATION/
DISTRIBUTION:
Local school districts are reimbursed with Medicaid matching funds for eligible services provided to Medicaid eligible children. Agreements with the districts stipulate that 60% of the Medicaid matching funds are distributed to the schools and 40% are retained by the state.
